There is a place in between the prophecy and the fulfillment. It is called process and wilderness. If you look at your wilderness with physical eyes. You will think that the prophecy was never true. So the prophecy is the picture. The picture with the prophecy that you see with your spiritual sight which is your sanctified imagination that produces a visualization of what you do hold on to that spiritual and mental picture when your physical eyes look contrary to what the prophecy depicts you hold on to it. A seed must be nurtured. The seed needs water. What is the water? The word or God. So you must lean into the prophecy through the word of God. If you don't base your faith on the word of God. If you based that Rhema-inspired prophetic word on the logos-written word then the evil one will snatch out the word.
Here is the 5 day devotional
Day 1: The Power of the Prophetic Word
Scripture:"So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it."Isaiah 55:11 (NIV)
Focus:When God speaks, His words have power. A prophetic word whether spoken through Scripture, a personal revelation, or through others contains the seed of God’s intention for your life. That promise is true, and though you may not see it immediately, it will come to pass. God’s promises are not bound by time or circumstance; they are everlasting. However, between the prophecy and the fulfillment, there is often a season of process, a wilderness. This is where we face the test of faith. Do you believe that God’s word is true, even when it seems like nothing is changing?
Today, reflect on a promise God has given you. Write it down and declare that His word will not return void.
Prayer:Father God in the name of Jeus, thank You for the promises You’ve spoken over my life. I believe that every word You have declared will come to pass. Help me to trust in Your timing and hold on to Your promises, especially when I can’t see the way forward. Amen.
Day 2: The Wilderness - A Place of Growth
Scripture:"The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus."Isaiah 35:1 (ESV)
Reflection:The wilderness is often seen as a place of barrenness, but it is also a place where new life can emerge. In the wilderness, God is refining you, preparing you for the fulfillment of the promise. This space between prophecy and fulfillment is not wasted—it’s where you are being shaped. The dry ground will one day blossom. Just like a seed needs time, water, and care to grow, so too does the promise need nurturing. God is teaching you to lean into Him more deeply.
Have you been focusing too much on your current circumstances instead of the process of growth happening within you? Even in the wilderness, God is at work, and He is cultivating something beautiful.
Prayer:Lord, I acknowledge that the wilderness is hard, but I trust that You are working in me. Help me to embrace the process of growth and to trust that what You are cultivating will bear fruit in Your perfect timing. Amen.
Day 3: Fix Your Eyes on the Prophetic Picture
Scripture:"We live by faith, not by sight."2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)
Focus:Faith sees beyond what is immediately visible. The prophecy is the picture, the vision of what God has promised you. In the midst of challenges, it is easy to look at your circumstances and doubt the truth of God’s word. But faith calls you to fix your eyes on the unseen on what God has already spoken. This requires sanctified imagination—the ability to visualize what God has promised even when the world around you seems contrary to that promise.
When your physical eyes try to tell you that the prophecy is a lie, hold fast to what God has shown you through His Word. Your spiritual sight is more powerful than your natural sight.
Prayer:God, open the eyes of my heart to see Your promises clearly. Help me to fix my eyes on the vision You’ve given me, even when my circumstances try to tell me otherwise. I trust in Your word and Your faithfulness. Amen.
Day 4: Nurturing the Seed with the Word of God
Scripture:"Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation."1 Peter 2:2 (NIV)
Focus:A seed needs water to grow, and the water for your faith is the Word of God. The more you immerse yourself in His promises, the more your faith will be watered and strengthened. When God speaks a prophetic word over your life, it is a seed planted in your spirit, and it needs the nourishment of God’s Word to grow. Just as a baby needs milk to grow, so your faith needs the Word of God to thrive. Without it, the enemy will try to snatch away the truth of God’s promises.
How much time are you spending in the Word to nurture your faith? Make the choice today to consistently water the seeds of prophecy through prayer, Scripture, and meditation.
Prayer:Lord, I want to grow in my faith. Help me to hunger and thirst for Your Word, so that I may nurture the promises You’ve given me. Let Your Word be the water that brings forth growth and fruit in my life. Amen.
Day 5: Standing Firm on the Word of God
Scripture:"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ."Romans 10:17 (ESV)
Focus:Faith is not a one-time event; it is an ongoing process. As you stand on the promises of God, you are called to continually speak His Word over your life. The enemy will try to tell you that the promises of God are false, that they are delayed, or that you missed your chance. But standing firm in faith means you continue to declare what God has said, even when it doesn’t look like it’s happening yet.
The only way to stand firm is by grounding yourself in the Word of God. Build your life on the truth of Scripture, and let it anchor you during times of uncertainty. Stand firm, because what God has spoken will surely come to pass.
Prayer:Father, I choose to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. I declare that Your promises are yes and amen, and I will not be moved by what I see. Strengthen my faith through Your Word and help me to trust in Your perfect timing. Amen.
Final Thought:
The space between prophecy and fulfillment is never wasted. In the wilderness, God is doing a work in you that will prepare you for the fullness of His promises. As you nurture your faith through prayer, Scripture, and trust in His timing, you will see the fruit of what He has spoken. Fix your eyes on the prophetic picture, and hold fast to His promises with unwavering faith.
